Word Recognition in Linguistically Diverse Children
Given the varying home environments children come from, it is critical to consider their diverse linguistic backgrounds while assessing their linguistic development. Our focus lies on word recognition, a fundamental component that underpins subsequent linguistic growth. We use eyetracking , and we plan to incorporate electroencephalography in our future research. The foundation of this line of research was established in Dr. Bob McMurray's lab during Ethan's postdoctoral training. Jamie Klein-Packard from MACLAB has contributed tremendously to creating a pipeline for recruiting children.
