Biography

Danica (she/her/hers) is a 1st year MA student in linguistics at the University of Iowa, having previously majored in Child Development in Korea. She is interested in how linguistic environments across cultures influence children's language and cognitive development, focusing on bilingualism, multilingualism, and multicultural settings. Danica aims to explore the impact of diverse environmental and sociocultural factors on children's bilingual and multilingual experiences. Ultimately, she wants to understand how these experiences shape children's thinking patterns, communication skills, and perception of language and the world.
